MATCH OVERVIEW

The PAST is a two-day sniper match built for teams of two. Competitors will face 18 stages across varied terrain, carrying all their gear while tackling both rifle and pistol engagements under time pressure. Expect 2–3 miles of movement per day, targets ranging from 100–1600 meters, and scenarios designed to test not just marksmanship, but mindset.

What to Expect

    •    18 stages designed for both mental and physical stress.

    •    Rifle engagements 100–1600m (most 200–800m).

    •    Pistol engagements 0–100yds.

    •    Minimum 200 rounds rifle & 200 rounds pistol required.

    •    You carry it, you shoot it — realism is the rule.

Timeline:

Friday Feb 13th, 2026

• 1200-1700: Registration and zero range

• 1800: Event and Safety Brief

Saturday Feb 14th

• 0800- 1800 Day one stages 1-9

Sunday Feb 15th

• 0800-1500 Day two stages 10-18

• TBD Awards Ceremony at The Rock (Bldg. 330)

The Details:

• Two shooters per team

• Each shooter can choose a Bolt or Gas gun as their primary rifle. Each shooter can carry a secondary rifle, but it must be a gas gun in 5.56 or 6ARC.

• All equipment (with the exception of clothing and food/water) that the team wants to use at any point in the competition must be carried for the duration of the competition.

• Max three tripods per team (No tripods for pistol shooting)

• WMLRF allowed.

Rifle Requirements:

• US SOCOM approved cartridges.

  • 5.56, 6ARC, 7.62, 6.5cm

• No magnum calibers

• Max muzzle velocity: 3200fps

• Ammo subject to chrono at any time

• All rifles must have a suitable sling for carrying hands-free.

Pistols:

• 9mm-.45.

Scoring: Scoring will be based off a points system with par times per stage. A matchbook will be given to all competitors during check-in; all questions will be answered during the match brief.
